"You've really disappointed me, Raya! I love you, and you love me too, right? So let's just get married!" Jordan said, tugging at Raya's hand.
"I don't want to. Let go of me," Raya pleaded.
"No, Ray. You have to marry me because I'm the only one who can make you happy," Jordan insisted.
"Let go of her hand! Don't force someone who doesn't want you!" Galaxy said as he freed Raya's hand from Jordan's grip.
"Who are you? Don't stick your nose into my business with Raya." Jordan glared at Galaxy.
"You don't need to know who I am. Just know that I hate men who are rough with women, especially when they try to force them," Galaxy shot back.
"You talk too much!" Jordan roared and immediately attacked Galaxy. But Galaxy swiftly blocked Jordan's hand and twisted it behind his back until Jordan cried out in pain.
"Argh... It hurts!" Jordan screamed, immediately drawing the village chief's attention.
"Hey! What did you do to my son? Let go of his hand right now!" the village chief shouted.
"I'm warning you—don't bother Raya again! If I see you harassing Raya or Abah again, I'll break your arm." Galaxy released Jordan's hand and shoved him away.
"How dare you do that to my son! I'm reporting you to the police!" The village chief glared angrily at Galaxy.
"Go ahead, sir! I'm not afraid because I know I did nothing wrong. In fact, I can report your son for assaulting Abah Fathir's family," Galaxy explained.
"All right, let's just go home. Come on, Jordan!"
"But, Dad..." Jordan protested.
"That's enough. Let's go home!" the village chief urged, embarrassed in front of Galaxy.
They left the rice field. Raya and Abah felt relieved that Galaxy had finally resolved the problem and humiliated the village chief and Jordan.
"Ray, are you all right?" Galaxy asked Raya.
"I'm fine. My hand just hurts a little. Thank you for helping me and Abah," Raya replied.
"Yes, Mirza. Abah is grateful to you too," Abah Fathir added.
"You're welcome, Abah. It was my duty to help you both. But who were they, Abah? How did you end up dealing with them?" Galaxy asked.
"That was the village chief here, and the one who fought you was his son, Jordan. He's actually been in love with Raya for a long time, but Raya doesn't like him," Abah Fathir explained.
"Of course I don't, Abah. Who would want to marry someone who gets drunk and hangs out with a motorcycle gang? I want to marry a good, responsible man who regularly worships. Now that's a man who can lead a family," Raya chimed in.
"Exactly, sweetheart. My girl is so clever," Abah Fathir said, gently patting Raya's head.
Raya looked at Galaxy, who was also looking at her with a smile.
"Abah! Abah!" Raya shouted, calling for her father.
"Good grief, sweetheart, what's wrong? Why are you yelling at this hour?" Abah asked.
"Abah, Mirza isn't in his room! Where could he have gone?" Raya asked anxiously.
"He probably ran away, sweetheart. Just leave him be and don't make such a fuss! It's better this way—we have one less burden to worry about," Abah said carelessly.
"Abah, don't say that. What if you were in Mirza's position? You're the one who taught me to be kind to people and help those in need." Raya lectured her father.
"You really know how to turn my own words against me," Abah said, realizing he had lost the argument with his daughter.
"All right, Abah. Let's go look for Mirza. I'm worried something might have happened to him," Raya urged.
To be continued.
