The words he uttered carried deep intent, absorbing energy until Rosaline and Adrian stopped, just as Prince Yuasa had said. A moment later, Prince Yuasa's body collapsed to the ground. He had fainted.
"Prince!" Rosaline wanted to run straight toward Prince Yuasa, who lay sprawled on the ground. However, her body froze in place.
"Rosaline, did your body stop on its own?" Adrian whispered.
"Yes. I can't even move yet," Rosaline replied.
It took fifteen minutes before they could move again. Adrian and Rosaline hurried to check on Prince Yuasa.
"What happened? Why did he faint?" Adrian asked, confused.
Rosaline shook her head. Her hand touched Prince Yuasa's wrist. "His pulse is normal. He's just like someone who's asleep."
"Rosaline, could what happened when we froze earlier have been caused by his words?" Adrian said, suspicious of Prince Yuasa's condition after he fainted from shouting, "Stop!" and making them freeze.
"You mean he has that ability?" Rosaline asked, equally suspicious.
"Yes. It's a rare ability. Not many people possess it," Adrian replied.
Adrian and Rosaline waited for Prince Yuasa to regain consciousness. However, even after half an hour, he still hadn't woken up.
Rosaline began to worry. "Adrian..."
"I'll get a healer. Wait here!" Adrian continued, noticing Rosaline's concern.
Before long, Adrian returned with a healer. The healer examined Prince Yuasa's condition.
"How is he?" Rosaline asked anxiously.
"He's exhausted. It will take him a long time to wake up. His body is recovering," the healer replied.
"Thank goodness," they both said at once.
"You should move him somewhere warmer. It'll be night soon," the healer advised.
After finishing the examination and making sure there was nothing wrong with Prince Yuasa, the healer excused himself and left the three of them.
"Rosaline, you and the prince should spend the night here. I'll prepare a room for you," Adrian suggested, and Rosaline nodded.
"One room with two beds," Rosaline replied.
"Wait! What do you mean, one room?" Adrian asked, clearly displeased with Rosaline's suggestion.
"Regardless, it isn't proper for an unmarried man and woman to stay in the same room. It'll lead to all kinds of unpleasant gossip later." Adrian launched into a long lecture.
"I'll stay in the same room as the Prince," Rosaline replied casually.
"Rosaline!"
"You two aren't married. You can't!" Adrian flatly refused.
"Whatever. I still don't want to stay in a different room from him," Rosaline replied, just as stubbornly as Adrian.
"You'll become the subject of gossip later," Adrian said.
"Why should I listen to them? The prince's safety is more important to me," Rosaline insisted, standing by her decision.
"How about this? You can stay in my room. At least there'll be a third person to witness that nothing improper happens between you," Adrian suggested, unwilling to let Rosaline be alone with another man.
"All right, no problem," Rosaline replied.
Adrian lifted Prince Yuasa and carried him to his room on the second floor. Adrian's room was fairly spacious because he was a trainer. It had better facilities than those of the trainees practicing at Redlion Arena.
"Not bad," Rosaline said after looking around Adrian's entire room.
"Yeah, not bad. Though it isn't as luxurious as the rooms for high-ranking guards," Adrian added, picking up on Rosaline's comment.
"If you want luxury, why did you become a trainer?" Rosaline glanced at Adrian.
"I don't want to talk about it, okay?"
"I'll get an extra mattress first," Adrian said before leaving his room.
Adrian stepped out and accidentally ran into one of his colleagues.
"Where are you going?" the colleague asked.
"To get an extra mattress. Someone's staying in my room," Adrian answered honestly.
"How many do you need? Why not use the room next door? There are plenty that aren't being used," Adrian's colleague asked.
"Good point," Adrian replied.
"I'll help. I'm not busy either," the colleague offered.
The two of them each carried a rolled-up mattress, then entered Adrian's room.
Adrian's colleague gaped when he saw Rosaline. The girl was indeed beautiful, so it was only natural for people to look at her.
"Watch your eyes!" A punch landed on the colleague's head.
"Hey, she's gorgeous. Come on, introduce me," Adrian's colleague whispered as he moved closer to the room's owner.
Adrian glared at him, and his colleague pouted.
"You're so stingy. You won't even let me meet her. You just want to be alone with her, huh? I'll report you," Adrian's colleague joked.
