“Diandra, are you actually still a virgin?” Romi shouted, deeply disappointed.
Diandra, who was fixing her hair, immediately turned around. Her expression instantly changed to confusion.
“What do you mean, Honey?” Diandra asked, unable to understand.
Romi smiled sarcastically.
“Don’t pretend to be stupid....” He walked toward his wife. “We went through our wedding night last night, so why weren’t there any signs that you were still a virgin?”
“What kind of signs do you mean, Honey?” Diandra asked, staring intently at her husband.
“A bloodstain. The wedding night is supposed to come with a bloodstain,” Romi replied impulsively.
Diandra let out a long sigh and then exhaled.
“Honey, I already told you. Blood isn’t proof of whether a woman is still a virgin or not,” Diandra explained calmly.
“Just an excuse,” Romi sneered, refusing to accept it.
“It’s not an excuse, Honey. It’s simply the truth.”
Romi’s eyes narrowed sharply.
“Then why wasn’t there any blood on the bedsheet after we went through it?” Romi yelled. “Don’t tell me you’ve already done it with another man before you married me?”
Diandra slowly shook her head, as if she couldn’t believe her husband would say something like that. Her eyes immediately filled with tears.
“Watch what you say, Honey....” Diandra rose from her seat.
Romi laughed dismissively. “Why? Are you afraid of being found out?”
“I’m not afraid because I didn’t do what you’re accusing me of,” Diandra replied firmly.
Romi laughed sarcastically.
“That’s easy for you to say. I gave you a large mahr and married you properly. But it turns out I got a woman who—”
“Enough, Honey,” Diandra cut him off quickly, as if she already knew what was about to come out of Romi’s mouth.
For the first time, Diandra cut Romi off in a loud voice.
“How dare you talk back to your husband?” Romi snapped.
Diandra slowly rubbed her chest. Her sharp gaze remained fixed on Romi.
“I won’t let you call me that,” Diandra stopped him quickly. “Because I’m not that kind of woman.”
“If you’ve never done anything wrong, then prove it!” Romi challenged.
Diandra fell silent for a moment. She didn’t know how else to explain all of this to her husband. Yet beneath his accusation, she knew one thing.
“How am I supposed to prove it, Honey?” Diandra asked, confused.
Romi fell silent for a moment. Diandra looked at him as tears began to stream down her face. Her disappointment was obvious. What should have been a happy honeymoon had instead ended in disaster.
“Now it’s my turn to ask you something, Honey,” Diandra remarked carefully.
Romi lifted his face.
“What?”
“Last night, I stayed quiet when you couldn’t finish what was supposed to happen,” Diandra revealed, stating what had actually happened.
Romi’s face instantly tensed.
“I didn’t make an issue of it. I didn’t humiliate you. I didn’t even ask anything because I knew it might embarrass you,” Diandra continued.
Romi clenched his fists in frustration.
“Shut up. Don’t talk so much, especially not to the other people,” Romi snapped.
“But now you’re accusing me of not being a virgin,” Diandra pressed, refusing to accept it.
The bedroom suddenly fell silent. Diandra wiped away her tears, trying to stay strong in the face of what had happened.
“You failed to see the truth right in front of you. I wasn’t the one who rejected you last night. You were the one who couldn’t get it up,” Diandra said, emphasizing every word.
“Don’t say things like that!” Romi snapped, issuing a stern warning.
“I’m telling the truth and sticking to the facts!” Diandra retorted, trying to defend herself.
Romi clenched his fists again in frustration, but he was unable to answer.
“If you’re looking for an excuse because you’re ashamed of your own condition, don’t make me the scapegoat,” Diandra continued.
Diandra looked at Romi with hurt in her eyes.
“I protected my honor before I got married. And even after we married, I still tried to protect yours....” Diandra’s voice trembled. “But if you keep insulting me and accusing me like this, I don’t know how much longer I can continue respecting someone who doesn’t even respect his own wife.”
The next second, Romi stood frozen in silence, as if he no longer had any way to defend himself.
Just because there was no bloodstain, Diandra was considered impure. Romi then complained to his mother that Diandra had not been a virgin when he married her. Naturally, Mrs. Rika was deeply disappointed and furious at the truth.
“You cheap woman,” Mrs. Rika cursed at Diandra. “I regret that my son ended up with a woman like you.”
“Ma’am, watch what you say. I’m still a virgin, and this isn’t what you think,” Diandra replied, trying to defend herself.
Diandra continued insisting that she had still been a virgin when Romi married her. Meanwhile, Romi kept pressuring Diandra to confess what her condition had been before marriage.
“Now I want you to return all the mahr Romi gave you,” Mrs. Rika demanded. “You don’t deserve any of it.”
Diandra let out a soft sigh and then exhaled, trying to remain polite with her mother-in-law.
“Ma’am, I swear I’m still a virgin!” Diandra confessed sincerely.
Mrs. Rika stared sharply at Diandra.
“So you’re accusing Romi of lying?”
Diandra slowly shook her head, reluctant to expose this secret. Yet she continued to be blamed for something she had never done.
“Ma’am, I’m still a virgin. I’m confused about how to explain it,” Diandra said uncertainly.
“What do you mean?”
Diandra fell silent for a moment, her lips feeling too heavy to reveal the actual truth.
“Ma’am, Romi is—”
“What about Romi?” Mrs. Rika quickly interrupted.
“Romi is impotent—”
