"Never follow the green light in the forest."
Those were the last words written in the old diary belonging to Grandpa Mahesa, a famous Nusantara explorer known for collecting folktales. The diary was found in the attic of his long-abandoned wooden house. Its pages had yellowed, the corners were beginning to crumble, and several sheets looked as though they had once been caught in the rain.
However, there was one object far more intriguing than the diary.
An ancient compass.
It was round, with an engraving of Garuda on its lid. Its needle did not point north. Instead, it kept slowly spinning as if it were searching for something.
On the back was a nearly faded inscription.
"This compass does not point to a place... but to a mystery that requires courage."
No one knew who had made the compass.
According to legend, the compass would choose only those with curious minds, kind hearts, and the courage to help others.
For decades, the compass slept.
Until one afternoon...
Its needle moved.
Slowly.
Then it stopped.
And began to glow with a soft green light.
In different places, four children felt the same thing.
They heard a sound like a whisper on the wind.
"Come..."
They did not know one another yet.
They had no idea that their lives were about to change forever.
Because from that night on...
Indonesian legends began to rise again.
