Chapter 5: Twelve Years Ago

🔒 This chapter is locked · 20 Quills

Twelve years ago, Cùm River was a place nobody dared speak of out loud, the kind of silence a town keeps when it already knows the truth and would rather not say it. Now the names tied to that silence are resurfacing one by one, each of them stained with the blood of what happened there. The river, it seems, has not forgotten, and neither has whatever still waits beneath its surface. As the past claws its way back into the present, the people once connected to Cùm River discover that some waters remember exactly what was done to them, and they are patient enough to wait twelve years for the reckoning.
