I never pictured myself getting married at twenty-six. Not because I didn't want to marry. I simply hadn't found a strong enough reason to hand my life over to someone. Meanwhile, everyone around me seemed to be rushing ahead and leaving me behind. My older sister was already married with a four-year-old son. My twin sister, Naura, had even started a life with someone before me and was now busy caring for her one-year-old daughter. Whenever we got together, I was always the only one who came alone.
